Although not exactly catwalk material, the smooth and sleek design delivers warmth and protection which in my books are more important than looking good. The Endura Road Cycling Overshoe is constructed with a smooth neoprene material (the same material used to make wetsuits) that is not only very waterproof, but adds reinforcement to your ankles while also guarding against abrasions and rough play.
The waterproofing also lies in the design of the Endura Road Cycling Overshoe as it has a welded centre seam giving smooth styling and added waterproofing. Thanks to the rear snap-down zip they’re easy to get on and off and the neoprene meets behind the back to help prevent water ingress. The velcro heel tab ensures a snug fit around the ankles and is useful in preventing water dripping into the shoe. Don’t be afraid to be aggressive when pulling the Endura Road Cycling Overshoe on and off as they are super hardy and flexible and will not tear or damage easily.
Once on, the Endura Road Cycling Overshoe is a very snug fit over your trainer so your pedal straps will still fit very easily. There are two holes on the sole of the shoe which are suitable for pedal clips. I have heard that these holes slightly compromise the waterproofing of the Endura Road Cycling Overshoe in that the spray from the wet road may creep in.
The soles are abrasion resistant and are designed for hard wearing so pedal at will. To top it all off, the reflective piping on the front, side and rear of the Endura Road Cycling Overshoe add visibility which only enhances your safety.
