Hi there and welcome to LifeintheSaddle.com. We are Bronwyn and Alex and like you, we are keen cyclists. LifeintheSaddle was born after (far too) many attempts to find comprehensive, informative and interesting cycle route guides and gear reviews on the web. In short, we ended up chasing our tails and feeling overwhelmed which was when you could say we had our lightbulb moment. We simply want to give you an honest down to earth overview of cycling routes and gear to help you make your decisions. Although we have cycled for many years now, we still remember that feeling of trepidation when you climb on your bike for the first time which is why our content is geared toward novices and pros alike. 

As we cycle through the heart of chaotic London to get to and from work, we know a fair bit about cycling in traffic and hope to help you with making that step with our reviews of gear and bikes. If commuting is not your thing, sample nature at its best with our reviews of many day and weekend cycle routes ranging from easy right through to the more challenging levels.
